This dresser is HUGE!!

My friend brought me her dresser {of course I forgot the before picture}. I definitely had fun doing this revamp. Definitely tedious, but the result was amazing. Prepped the dresser first, then went with my fav, Behr Paint/Primer in one in the shade of her choice. After 2 coats {or so} I distressed all edges, and added a dark antique-ing glaze. This darkened up the color a bit, making it appear a little more "dirty", and makes all the edges darker and stand out more. Then I brushed on a gold glaze all over, wiped off leaving more in some areas than others. This took a while to get it looking exactly how I wanted. Just the right amount of shine on all sides/edges and drawers. Turned out super chic and elegant, but shabby at the same time :) I'm so in love with this, that I'm doing it again...this time on my own daughters dresser. The color choice on this piece couldn't have been more perfect!

My friend brought me this little side table. It was in pretty bad shape, i'm not gonna lie! Even my husband was amazed that it {actually} transformed :) Didn't take a before picture, but it's now perfect for her playroom!

Vanity Makeover

I had a client bring me this vanity to transform. It was a yucky/old oak, with really "pretty" floral fabric seat :) This was for her daughter so we spiced it up to a fun vintage look, distressed all over, and replaced the fabric with some cute stripes. It actually has a mirror that came with, but unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the whole piece set up. Love how it turned out :)

I am in love with this! Super unique coffee table, perfect chunky curves everywhere. Vanilla white, distressed all over to show it's age. Very sturdy. I love all the detail! I definitely do not come by these types of pieces very often. But this was one of my fav's! It's super antique, shabby yet elegant.

Love this piece! All of it's chippyness and curves. It's such a unique table! Too bad, i really can't keep everything. This was refinished with Robins egg blue undercoat, and Antique White Top coat. Then distressed and glazed to give it some age. Super solid and sturdy! Gorgeous piece. $100.

Shabby White Refurb- Highboy Dresser {{sold}}

I'm loving how this turned out! Distressed in all the perfect places, vanilla white. All the drawers work smoothly. I love the detail of the drawers, and my favorite part are the feet. They definitely make the piece very unique! Dresser is very sturdy/solid and chunky. Would be great in any room, salon or boutique!

Gold Bless America!

Anyone else decorating bikes today?? Found some great bike decorating ideas off good ol' Pinterest {of course}, and let the boys stay up late helping decorate. I love the 4th, and all the watermelon...swimming...hot dogs...glowsticks....and licorice that comes with it. We're starting the day off bright and early with our community pancake breakfast and bike parade!

Chippy+Chunky.

This project was a beast! Literally. This thing was one solid piece of furniture. Pretty heavy, very original, chunky piece of wood :) It was fairly time consuming, but I absolutely love how it turned out. It was one of those pieces that I had to convince myself to sell :) Creamy white, with chippy distress all over to bring out it's character.  I only had time to take this one picture of it. Since good dressers like these are hard to come by, ..it was snatched up before I could get attached to it {or take any pics!}

Pretty sure this refurb was one of my fav's :)

4 Drawer Tall Dresser/Sold.

Tall, 4 Drawer Dresser, great shape. Antique/vintage look with a custom farmhouse top. Wood planks were stained, clearcoated, and lightly distressed to bring a more rustic look. Dresser has a few scuffs here and there, but is in overall great shape. You can leave the dresser how it is for a shabby chic appeal, or paint it to another color if you like. Super cute and unique!
